Class Participation and Guidelines

Current classes can be found on our Calendar and Class buttons, right on the Home page.

Class spaces are limited. We want you to enjoy quality time with our educators, so all classes are limited to no more than 8 students.
Please check each class for any minimum attendance requirements.

Registration is easy! Sign up for classes right online or in-store.

Out of respect for designers and makers, each student must have their own original legal pattern, when applicable. Required pattern information will be in each class description.

You must bring a sewing machine in working order. We highly recommend bringing your sewing machine manual with you in case of any glitches!

Machine rentals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees apply.

Minimum prior knowledge required for classes includes, but is not limited to, threading, bobbin winding, tension settings and basic stitch settings. Please be sure to read class descriptions for any additional skill requirements.

Get in touch with us if you are interested in learning these beginner skills!

Please check class descriptions for additional homework, supplies or shopping needs. We ask all preparations are made as suggested in order for classes to run smoothly for all.

We would be happy to assist you in your supply selection for class however, ask that you come in a few days, or at least a few hours, prior to class. Please be mindful to time your shopping around additional homework preparations (when applicable), such as pre-washing!

Cancellations/Refunds

We, the shop, reserve the right to cancel a class due to weather, emergency or lack of minimum sign-ups (when applicable). Refunds will be provided in these cases.

If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us as soon as possible.

Cancellation less than 1 week prior to a class date is non-refundable.

More than 1 weeks notice of cancellation, store credit will be provided.

Food/Drinks

You are welcome to bring your own snacks, food and drinks to classes.

This is at risk to your own equipment. We are not responsible for spills or damages. Covered cups are recommended.

Longer classes will have built-in breaks for meals. There are several local spots we highly recommend and will have that information available to you as well.

Refrigerator and microwave are available, but space is limited.

If you have any allergies, please let us know! We value your health and well-being and will do our best to make a safe space for you.

Most important of all, we want you to enjoy your time with us at Sew Orchid Design; where the laughs, joy and coffee is abundant! We look forward to seeing you and sharing our passion with you!
